UK audio technology specialist RHA has secured an inflight listing with Virgin Atlantic for its TrueConnect wireless earbuds.
The product is available on all Virgin Atlantic flights from last month. RHA’s Wireless Flight Adapter is also featured inflight.
According to RHA, the TrueConnect earbuds, which have a RRP of £149.95 (US$169.95), offer high-quality sound, 25-hour battery life and are sweat and splash resistant. They are available in three colours: Navy Blue, Cloud White and Carbon Black.
Dubbed as a “bona-fide long-haul flight hero”, the Wireless Flight Adapter allows users to connect wireless headphones to inflight entertainment systems via Bluetooth. It can also be used to turn audio devices, such as cassette players and games consoles, into Bluetooth compatible devices. Its RRP is £39.95 (US$49.95).
RHA Business Development Manager Philip Rose said: “Virgin Atlantic is a British icon in aviation, and we’re so proud to be available via their inflight retail offering.”
He said the TrueConnect earbuds suit adventurous travellers and showcase British design and engineering credentials.
Rose described the Wireless Flight Adapter, which has a 16-hour battery life, as ideal for transatlantic flights.
“We’re delighted to be aligned with a brand like Virgin Atlantic, who are famed for providing their customers with experiences which showcase their commitment to quality and fun,” he added.
RHA said the new collaboration with Virgin Airlines comes as the brand expands its travel retail operation through several partnerships with airlines. RHA secured a listing for the TrueConnect earbuds on all Vietnam Airlines international flights from November 2019.
Since its launch in 2011, RHA has focused on world-class audio technology which “challenges established brands and traditional thinking”. The Glasgow-based independent company’s mission is to “transform the way people interact with sound, technology and each other”. The TrueConnect wireless earbuds were released in October 2018. RHA said the product is regarded as a “formidable competitor” in the wearables market and underlines the brand’s growth in this sector. |
