Ritter Sport to reveal travel retail-exclusive range at Summit of the Americas

Ritter Sport Mini Towers represent multiple US destinations as the brand owner sets its sights on Americas travel retail expansion

German chocolate specialist Ritter Sport has revealed details of its latest travel retail-exclusive products, which will be showcased at the IAADFS Summit of the Americas in Florida in April (Otis McAllister stand, 201).

The release is in line with the brand’s commitment to expand its footprint in the Americas travel retail market.

Ritter Sport Managing Director for Global Travel Retail Jan Pasold said: “Otis McAllister and Ritter Sport started our valued partnership shortly before the pandemic. Now we are working together again to focus on widening the distribution and the availability of our German-made, family-owned, squared and colourful best ingredients chocolate at all important airports in the Americas. We are also committed to growing our cruise and border shops business in the region.”

Among the products to be launched in 2023 is the Mini Tower new flavour mix, an extension of the Ritter Sport Mini Tower range.

The Mini Tower 250g includes 15 mini bars in five flavours offering a mix of fruity, milky and crunchy textures. The colourful pastel-hued flavour mix includes two of the brand’s top flavours – mini Strawberry Yogurt with real fruit pieces, strawberry yoghurt creme and crunchy rice crisps and mini Alpine Milk with caramel and honey flavour.

Another variant is the mini Fine Milk Chocolate, which features fine cocoa from Peru, crunchy mini Cornflakes and mini Butter Biscuit.

The new range also includes the Mini Towers in individualised sleeves with well-known landmark designs. Ritter Sport will focus its landmark campaign on these American states or cities: Texas, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York and Detroit. The company said these brand executions will create an additional purchase incentive for travellers.

Ritter Sport introduces more vegan varieties that come in colourful packaging

Ritter Sport is also planning to extend its vegan offerings with the rollout of the new range to the Americas travel retail market later in 2023.

Ritter Sport said it sources 100% certified sustainable cocoa for its five vegan varieties: Mild Classic, Crunchy Almond, Crunchy Whole Nut and new varieties Roasted Peanut and Salted Caramel. Its vegan products also feature the official EU Vegan label.
