NETHERLANDS/GERMANY. Wellbeing company Rituals has unveiled its annual ‘The Gift of Happiness’ campaign at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and Munich Airport.
The campaign aims to ‘spread the wonder of joy’ and inspires customers to give gifts to their loved ones during these unprecedented times.
The festive campaign was launched today (17 November) and will run at the two European airports for six weeks.
The Gift of Happiness campaign marks the return of Rituals’ 8m-high Christmas tree in Amsterdam Airport Schiphol’s main plaza.
The giant multi-sensory Christmas tree combines sight sound and smell and features 700 baubles and 250 Rituals-inspired decorations.
It also serves as the perfect photo opportunity for travelling shoppers this holiday season.

This year, the tree has been enhanced with a scenting machine and bespoke Christmas music. It is also supported by an Instagram campaign, which encourages travellers to comment on what they are grateful for this Christmas for a chance to win a large gift set from Rituals.
In Munich Airport, Rituals has teamed up with Eurotrade to unveil a 35sq m pop-up store in Terminal 2.
The colourful retail space highlights the brand’s Amsterdam collection as well as a curated selection of gift sets from The Ritual of Karma, The Ritual of Jing and The Ritual of Sakura collections. It also showcases Rituals’ travel retail-exclusive 2020 Advent Calendar.

“As we conclude a very challenging year during which so many people have been separated from family and friends, it’s more important than ever to remember those relationships that are dear to us and to show gratitude to loved ones,” commented Rituals Global Travel Retail Director Neil Ebbutt.
“In collaboration with our close partners at Schiphol and Munich airports, we are happy to be able to spread some end of year joy and positivity with our Gift of Happiness campaign.
“Whatever the reason for travelling this festive period, we hope that passengers will take a few moments to slow down, reflect on the important things in life and experience the joy of gift giving.”
