Rituals has extended its European airport presence with two new stand-alone stores in Vienna and Eindhoven.
The brand has opened a 23sq m store at Vienna Airport Plaza in partnership with Welcome Trading, plus a 44sq m shop at Eindhoven Airport with Lagardère Travel Retail.
The Eindhoven store offers the full Rituals product range and the Vienna shop houses the brand’s best-selling products.
Both stores offer customers herbal teas and testing of products as well as complimentary hand massages. The stores also feature a range of Christmas gift sets.
Rituals Wholesale Director Neil Ebbutt said: “These are both important new openings for us. It brings our portfolio of stand-alone airport stores to seven and reflects the commitment we have to investing in this channel with our own stores.
“Airports are one of the most important channels for us to showcase Rituals to an international audience. The fact that there are some great international retail operators to partner with also makes it that much easier to bring more Rituals stand-alone stores to airports.”
Ebbutt said the stores would enable the brand to offer a much wider product range, including body care, skincare, tea, scented candles and fragrance sticks.
The Rituals network includes more than 495 stores and 1,450 shop-in-shops worldwide. In travel retail the brand is available on over 150 cruise ships and featured on ten airlines, including Qatar Airways, Iceland Air, Brussels Airlines, Saudi Arabian Airlines and Virgin Atlantic.
Airport locations include Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, London Stansted, Munich, Stockholm Arlanda, Copenhagen Kastrup, Zürich, Budapest and Frankfurt, with seven stand-alone airport stores, two airport spas and more than 150 shop-in-shops.
