High-tech specialist UBTECH Robotics is launching a range of robotics in travel retail at next month’s IAADFS Duty Free Show of the Americas in Orlando.
The company is represented worldwide in travel retail exclusively by Travel Retail Distribution Group (Booth: 1323).
Core Products include Alpha 1S Intelligent family robot, Alpha 2 humanoid robot, Jimu robot building blocks and the Digital Servo to power the robots.
Alpha 1S is described as the first humanoid robot designed for family use. It is, according to UBTECH, “programmable, interactable and affordable”. The robot is designed with high precision joints and editing softwear for 3D visual motions and controlled by one app. According to UBTECH, Alpha 1S can be used in entertainment, education, household, media and commerce. It is iOS and Android compatible, has a human body shape, Blueooth 4.0 Connectivity and incorporates balance engineering to keep it upright.
Jimu is an interactive building block robotics kit which offers children the ability to create and programme their own robots.
UBTECH said it will highlight other robotic products at IAADFS with a focus on the gifting market.
“Tech/Toy, and specifically, the so-called socialrobot segment, is one of the fastest growing consumer electronic retail categories. The main reason for this is that technology is finally catching up with how consumers perceive personal robots,” the company stated.
“We are the first company in China dedicated to commercialising humanoid robot, making it walk out of the research institution and become available to ordinary people. We believe we will bring robots to every home, and integrate intelligent robots into the daily life of common people, creating a more intelligent and human-friendly way of leisure life.”
