“Once again Russ has come up with an original idea which will appeal to children of all ages,” says Russ Berrie Director Duty Free Sales Garry Stoner. “We are confident this will be one of our best sellers in 2005.” |
UK. Russ Berrie has introduced Pup in a Kennel, an ultra-soft brown puppy which the company hopes will be a major seller in travel retail this year.
“Once again Russ has come up with an original idea which will appeal to children of all ages,” says Russ Berrie Director Duty Free Sales Garry Stoner. “We are confident this will be one of our best sellers in 2005.”
The puppy comes with his own bone and it sits in a cream kennel, embroidered with brown bones. The puppy is attached to the kennel by his lead, which pulls through the opening roof of the kennel, enabling it to double as a mini bag. It barks at the press of a pad.
Russ Berrie says the puppy has not been named to give airlines more flexibility in positioning the product.
The recommended retail price is US$15. Pup in a Kennel has already been listed by Britannia from April 2005.
