Russian Standard channels baroque style with new St Petersburg edition

Russian Standard Vodka will present its limited edition St Petersburg sleeve – a global travel retail exclusive – at the 2014 TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes next month (Stand Number: Marine Village 1A).

The Russian Standard St Petersburg Edition is the second in the company’s series celebrating classic Russian craft. This edition is inspired by the rich artistic heritage of St Petersburg, the “Venice of the North”.

Established by Peter the Great in 1703, and home to the Imperial Court of the Tsars, St Petersburg is the home of Russian Standard Vodka. According to the brand, the “opulent design of this beautiful baroque city is reflected in the finely crafted filigree patterning of this edition”.

The limited edition will be available in travel retail stores in November and priced in line with Russian Standard Original.

The brand said the sleeve builds on the success of the Russian Standard brand in global travel retail. Its standing as the fourth premium vodka brand (IWSR) selling more than 200,000 9L cases demonstrates particularly strong growth on the premium mix of Russian Standard Gold and Russian Standard Platinum, it added.

Russian Standard Global Travel Retail Marketing Director Andrew Notcutt said: “This St.Petersburg Limited Edition Sleeve will target the gifting opportunity and build on the brand’s overall success.”

Russian Standard Vodka will exhibit at TFWA World Exhibition on the Rémy Cointreau GTR stand.
