Italian eyewear house Safilo Group has appointed Alessandro Marinelli (pictured right) as Head of Global Accounts.
Marinelli will spearhead the group’s efforts in travel retail with a focus on digital retail solutions. He joined Safilo in 2013 as Export & Eastern Europe Branches Manager and was most recently Head of Gran Vision Global Channel.
“COVID has changed the way consumers travel and shop, so it is essential to envision continuous engagement with travellers to drive traffic while, at the same time, increasing conversion rates and enhancing customer experience,” Marinelli said.
“We have been working on creating cross-category synergies to further elevate the Eyewear category while drawing customers to the brands. To do so, we collect and analyse extensive data clusters and share the results with our partners to improve their customers’ experience.” ✈️
