BELGIUM. Following the successful collaboration of Samsonite Black Label and Alexander McQueen, new colours, textures and styles are added to the luxury collection for early 2008.
The award-winning collection is extended with a chocolate brown colour and ostrich skin texture. New design-led styles include a computer bag for women, men’s messenger bag, unisex overnight bag and cosmetics pouch.
Product highlight
The collection’s “Hero” piece takes on the imprint of a human form with the ribcage outlined at the front of the case and the backbone on the back. Now offered in chocolate brown, the colour and texture are designed to make this case more luxurious. This striking effect is echoed in the interior with a negative of the ribs represented in a soft moulded form. The item is also available in black and ivory colours.
The luggage collection
Taking cues from the success of the original collection, ostrich is added to the range of luxurious textures. The hardsided pieces follow the design thread of fusing patterns and textures found in nature with the latest cutting-edge technology to create an ostrich or crocodile skin textured pattern. The cases are lined with a soft feather print and are available in chocolate brown, bone or black.
Luxury travel bags
New styles span a computer bag for women, men’s messenger bag, unisex overnight bag and cosmetics pouch. The collection also includes a beauty case, a garment bag and two boarding bags (for both men and women). Designed in curvaceous shapes, the collection combines plain, ostrich and croc printed leather and ottoman fabric.
Accessories
A leather travel wallet, a crocodile print passport holder and a name tag with key holder are also available, along with a TSA padlock.
