INTERNATIONAL. The Moodie Davitt Report Vice President Sales and Events Sarah Genest is to retire in early November after an outstanding 18-year contribution to the company.
Sarah joined The Moodie Davitt Report in September 2006, initially as maternity leave cover but quickly became a permanent and key member of our commercial team.
“Sarah has played an instrumental role in our commercial dominance of the travel retail and food & beverage sectors over nearly two decades,” said The Moodie Davitt Report Founder & Chairman Martin Moodie.
“She was integral to the establishment and success of our Airport Food & Beverage (FAB) Conference & Awards and has long played a key leadership role across all The Moodie Davitt Report publications and events, including The Trinity Forum.

“Sarah is held in high esteem by all her colleagues and by the wider travel retail community. We will miss her greatly and along with my business partner Dermot Davitt and my team, I thank Sarah for her extraordinary contribution to our success and wish her a deeply fulfilling and well-deserved retirement.”
Sarah Genest said: “After many wonderful years with The Moodie Davitt Report, the time has come for me to bid a fond farewell. My heartfelt thanks go out to Martin, Dermot and the entire team for an exciting and productive journey – together, we broke barriers, took on challenges, and had a lot of fun along the way!
“To my clients and the wider travel retail community, thank you for your unwavering optimism, no matter what the world threw at us. There’s no need to recount the challenges we’ve faced – they’re all seared into our minds – but here we are, still soaring. Travel, retail and food & beverage will always remain my passions, even if they’ll no longer take me to Cannes!”
Sarah’s departure sees Aran Turner promoted to Senior International Account Manager. Aran joined The Moodie Davitt Report in June 2022 after 12 years with Welsh jewellery brand Clogau, where he managed commercial relationships with domestic and travel retailers.
“Aran’s promotion is richly deserved. His knowledge of and passion for the travel retail channel has been evident ever since he joined us as has been his work ethic. We are delighted to see his career continue to flourish at The Moodie Davitt Report,” said Moodie.
Maya Feeney, who has successfully driven our FAB event and publications sponsorship and advertising since joining the company in November 2023, takes on wider responsibility in the new role of International Account Manager, serving an extended client base across all our titles and events.
Moodie said: “Maya’s enthusiasm for the business, together with her top-class sales acumen and people skills, makes her the perfect fit for this broader role. Maya will attend the TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes, and along with all our team, looks forward to meeting her clients in person.”
Both Aran and Maya report to The Moodie Davitt Report Publisher Irene Revilla. ✈
Note: The commercial team is further bolstered by Martin Moodie, who will extend his key client base.
