Scandinavian Tobacco Group unveils CAO travel retail exclusive

Encased in a “˜CAO-black’ leatherette travel humidor, the CAO Champions Traveller’s Edition contains a selection of six of CAO’s highest-rated and most sought-after cigars


EUROPE. Scandinavian Tobacco Group has unveiled the CAO Champions Traveller’s Edition, exclusively available in limited numbers for European travel retail.

The CAO Champions Traveller’s Edition is a collection of CAO’s highest-rated and most sought-after cigars. CAO claims to be the only premium cigar manufacturer to have produced no fewer than 11 brands to have been rated “˜90′ (“˜Outstanding’) or above by leading cigar publications Cigar Aficionado and Cigar Insider.

Encased in a “˜CAO-black’ leatherette travel humidor, the edition contains a selection of six award-winning cigars from Dominican, Honduran and Nicaraguan origins: CAO Italia Novella (4½ x 46), CAO Sopranos Associate (5 x 52), CAO Gold Corona (5½ x 42), CAO Vision Prana (6¼ x 52 ), CAO Brazilia Samba (6¼ x 54), and CAO MX2 Beli (7 x 56).

The CAO Champions Traveller’s Edition also features CAO’s “˜Seed to Soul’ DVD, which highlights the cigar-making process by taking the viewer on a behind-the-scenes tour of the world of CAO cigars. The DVD provides over 20 minutes of footage and includes a 36-page illustrated colour booklet.

The CAO Champions Traveller’s Edition will retail at a recommended travel retail price of €49.

Scandinavian Tobacco Group Global Travel Retail International Business Managers Koen van Vaerenbergh and Jeppe Tanggaard Jacobsen will manage the rollout with selected retailers from 1 May towards the end of the year.

Up until now, launches have been planned with selected Northern European ferry operators and airports in France, Russia, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Greece and Poland.
