The Born from Blue Special Edition thermos bottle collection combines sustainable innovation with traditional Delft Blue craftsmanship, offering travellers a premium Dutch-inspired keepsake.
It is now available at the Central Store in Lounge 2 of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol for €49.95.
The collaboration was initiated following a request by Schiphol Airport Retail to Dopper to create a travel-friendly, Dutch heritage-inspired bottle.
The launch was attended by SAR Deputy Managing Director Martine de Lang and Dopper CEO Virginia Yanquilevich.
The partnership builds on the landmark 2023 decision by SAR and Dopper to discontinue the sale of single-use plastic water bottles at Schiphol, a move that saves over 700,000 single-use plastic bottles annually.
Free tap water is available for travellers through Dopper Water Taps around the airport, reinforcing the partners’ shared mission of reducing plastic waste.
Two Designs. One Mission.
The Born from Blue Special Edition features two distinctive designs that pay homage to water as a vital resource while showcasing the artistry of Delft Blue: The Current and The Tide.
The Current celebrates the force of water in motion, symbolising Dopper’s mission to create ripples of change and inspire behavioural shifts toward tap water as the natural choice.
The Tide is inspired by a mosaic technique and represents the steady creation of a future where tap water becomes the easiest and most sustainable choice.
Engineered to deliver exceptional performance, the thermos bottles are made with 90% recycled steel construction, ensuring strength and durability. Their insulation capabilities keep drinks hot for up to nine hours and cold for up to 24 hours, making them ideal for travel.
