NETHERLANDS. Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and Omega have unveiled a temporary boutique dedicated to the watch brand that will remain open until the end of September. It opened on 1 July and offers special limited edition Olympic Games watches. Omega is official timekeeper at the London Olympics.
The campaign, which Schiphol Group said followed a ‘Trinity-style model’, sees the Omega brand partnering with retailer Gassan and Schiphol Media.
The temporary boutique carries an extensive collection of Omega watches, including the Constellation, Seamaster, Speedmaster and De Ville Prestige. The unique James Bond Seamaster limited edition watch will also be included in the range as soon as it is available.

Omega is celebrating the 80th anniversary of its first participation as timekeeper in the Olympic Games this year. The 1948 Olympic Games, which were also held in London, heralded the birth of sports timekeeping as we know it today, the brand noted.
In addition to its temporary boutique, Omega has embarked on a multi-touchpoint promotional campaign at strategic locations throughout the airport, on the advice of Schiphol Media. The campaign features a variety of eye-catching digital and analogue media resources.
Schiphol Group noted: “The Trinity model is becoming a leading trend for airport travel retail campaigns, in which the airport joins forces with a brand and a retailer to create the best possible conditions for all parties – an approach that has proven to produce highly positive marketing and sales results.”
The temporary boutique is located beyond passport control between lounges 2 and 3.
As reported, Omega has also launched a major watch exhibition with Zürich Airport, around the Olympics event.
