USA. The Port of Seattle has announced 11 dining concepts selected following competitive bidding for locations at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. The new concessions will be resident in the under-construction US$399 million C Concourse expansion.
The winning bidders are a mixture of local and global brands serving up coffee, burgers, macarons, barbecue and more.
They comprise Nanny’s – A Northwest BBQ Joint (to be operated by BF Foods/Heigh Connects); Stumptown Coffee & Lucky Lounge and Buffalo Wild Wings (both Latrelle’s Concourse Foods); Connections Gourmet Market (Bambuza South Waterfront); Chili’s (SSP America); Port of Subs (Global Concessions); Great State Burger (Great State Burger); Bell St Landing by Hudson/Cobb’s Popcorn (HG SEA C-1 Retail Concessions); Sub Pop Records (Sub Pop Records); Bite Society (The City Catering Company DBA Bite Society); and Lady Yum (Lady Yum).
The C Concourse expansion project will transform the area where C and D Concourses meet by adding four floors to the building’s current three.
The concourse’s size will increase from 80,000sq ft to more than 226,000sq ft, with construction expected to complete in 2027.
In addition to the new dining spaces, the project will add a 20,000sq ft Alaska Airlines lounge and an outdoor viewing area, to be known as Lookout at C. The atrium area, called the Tree at C, will feature extensive communal seating and a live music performance area.
