KOSÉ Corporation is celebrating a highly successful 2024 edition of the SEKKISEI Save the Blue Ocean Project. This year, a portion of the sales proceeds from eligible products is being donated to the Blue Ribbon Ocean Conservation Association, thus contributing to environmental preservation and conservation activities in Hainan, China.
Now in its 16th year, the ocean protection project, which commenced on 1 July, will conclude on 31 August. KOSÉ Travel Retail, KOSÉ Corporation’s global travel retail subsidiary, is playing a lead role in the campaign.


KOSÉ Travel Retail and SEKKISEI have partnered with Wangfujing Duty Free to run a striking ocean-themed animation highlighting the Save the Blue project at Wangfujing International Duty-Free Harbour City in Wanning, Hainan.
The pop-up highlighted the brand’s sustainability ethos and educated shoppers on the importance of coral reefs to maintaining healthy ocean ecosystems.
Travellers who visited the pop-up received free trial samples of SEKKISEI lotion and emulsion. They also received a branded handkerchief decorated with the key message of ‘When you become beautiful, the earth becomes beautiful’ from SEKKISEI.
Customers who visited the SEKKISEI counter at Wangfujing received special gifts, including an original DIY pendant, as a gift with purchase.
In addition, KOSÉ TRAVEL RETAIL collaborated in late July with China Duty Free Group to host livestreams on Weibo and WeChat. The livestreams, featuring SEKKISEI’s sustainability initiatives and hero products, attracted more than 730,000 viewers. 🏝️
