IRELAND. Highly respected industry veteran Joe Harvey has left inflight services company Retail inMotion after three years and begins a new agency venture, Shannon Retail Innovation, effective from today.
With his new company, named in homage to the birthplace of airport duty free, Shannon, Harvey plans to represent brands and to introduce them to travel retail and other channels. He told The Moodie Davitt Report that he plans to work with entrepreneurial companies and up and coming brands from his native Ireland and beyond. More details on brand partnerships will follow soon.
He is also available for strategic consulting, including business plan & sales strategy development. He will also broker introductions for firms with new brands and products dedicated to the travel retail channel.
Harvey has a strong track record in the travel retail, airline and hospitality sectors, with experience in creating retail programmes, new business development and staff engagement programmes.
At Retail inMotion he was Senior Manager Global Boutique Development, and previously spent five years in senior roles at Tourvest Inflight Retail Services. Before that we worked for ten years with Aer Lingus in the Inflight Services division.
