Sense of Malaysia destination brand launched across five airports

MALAYSIA. Malaysia Airports has launched Sense of Malaysia, a destination-themed brand designed to enhance the passenger journey and showcase the country’s rich heritage and flavours. Stores have so far opened in five international airports.

“This initiative brings a uniquely Malaysian experience to travellers from the moment they step into our terminals,” the airports company told The Moodie Davitt Report.

These include handcrafted batik, artisanal wellness products, traditional Malaysian fashion items and local delicacies. Each airport highlights different specialties, reflecting the unique cultural and regional heritage of its location.

Clothing and accessories created by Malaysian entrepreneurs and artisans feature prominently

Each store also incorporates a Kueh Kita Café, giving visitors the chance to sample Malaysian cuisine. From Malaysia’s all-time favourite dish, nasi lemak, to an array of traditional local desserts and tidbits, the café offers an authentic taste of Malaysia.

Introducing Sense of Malaysia in a post on LinkedIn, she said: “Airports are more than just transit points, they’re the first and last impressions of a destination. At Malaysia Airports we have taken this to heart by curating an experience that lets travellers feel Malaysia, not just pass through it.
