Engraved: This Sheaffer Legacy Heritage Victorian Series sterling silver fountain pen honours the artisan William Morris |
US. Sheaffer has introduced the second edition of its Sheaffer Legacy Heritage Victorian Series, a sterling silver fountain pen to honour the Victorian artisan William Morris.
“The exquisite and intricately engraved pattern of this edition of the Sheaffer Legacy Heritage Victorian Series has been chosen to celebrate Morris’s mastership of decorative arts and his contributions to the Victorian aesthetic,” said Sheaffer Pen Global Brand Manager Gretchen Dickenson.
The Sheaffer Legacy Heritage Victorian Series showcases the engraved patterns on its solid sterling silver cap and barrel.
Each fountain pen features Sheaffer’s exclusive inlaid nib in palladium-plated 18ct gold, traditional sterling silver Sheaffer wide band and a palladium-plated clip.
The suggested domestic retail price is US$650.
About William Morris
During the Victorian era covering the 64-year reign of Queen Victoria from 1837-1901, William Morris founded the English Arts and Crafts movement.
In 1861, Morris set up his own company, producing a range of decorative items for home, including furniture, rugs and textiles, ceramics and stained glass. One of Morris’s chief contributions was as a designer of repeating patterns for wallpaper and textiles, many of which were based on nature and flora.
