Shiseido Travel Retail presented the travel retail exclusive NARSissist #Jetsetter collection and the Blemish Remedy range from bareMinerals at the recent TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition.
“The opportunity for make-up in travel retail is huge – it is the fastest-growing segment in beauty, and demand from female millennials is expected to be a key growth driver for the category, which makes up 13% of our sales in travel retail,” said Shiseido Travel Retail Vice-President Marketing Elisabeth Jouguelet.
NARS’ large social media following of 2.8 million on Instagram and 347,000 on Twitter chimes with the millennial consumer, and Shiseido is confident that travel retail will benefit from the ripple effect of social media activity.

bareMinerals new Blemish Remedy range is formulated to diminish the appearance of redness and imperfections on blemish-prone skin. The collection comprises a Prep Gel, Concealer and Foundation. Created using Aspen bark and tea tree oil to encourage clearer, healthier-looking skin the formula also includes aloe to help soothe and hydrate.
Blemish Remedy Mattifying Prep Gel is lightweight and dries to an invisible matte finish which acts as a smooth canvas on which to apply make-up.
Blemish Remedy Concealer, in four shades, contains Kaolin Clay minerals to help reduce shine and absorb excess oil. Full-coverage is delivered via a twist-up pencil which comes with a built-in sharpener.
Blemish Remedy Foundation gives medium to full coverage in 12 shades. It claims to reduce oil and shine while diminishing the appearance of redness and blemishes.
The Blemish Remedy Mattifying Prep Gel 30g, Foundation 6g and Concealer 1.6g will be rolled out to travel retail Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East & Africa and the Americas in July.
