Shoppes at Londoner brings high-class British-themed retail experience to Macau

CHINA (MACAU). Sands Shoppes Macao has revealed extensive details of Shoppes at Londoner, the 600,000sq ft luxury retail and food & beverage experience which will open within The Londoner Macao on 1 November. It will house more than 150 global brands to curate what the developer describes as “an indulgent shopping experience in an elegant British-style ambience”.

A transformation of the previous Shoppes at Cotai Central, Shoppes at Londoner aims to recreate an authentic London street scene, interpreting The Londoner Macao’s vision of ‘Bringing the best of London to Macao’.

As reported, the retail experience will be anchored by DFS Group’s Macau T Galleria by DFS store, which is set to open on 1 November.

The design inspiration of Shoppes at Londoner is drawn from London’s Oxford Street, one of Europe’s busiest and best-known shopping destinations.

Eight replicas of Greater London Blue Plaques can be found throughout Shoppes at Londoner, commemorating famous people in British history.

Shoppes at Londoner and the interconnected Shoppes at Venetian, Shoppes at Parisian and Shoppes at Four Seasons constitute Sands Shoppes Macao, the largest duty free luxury shopping experience in Macau.

Las Vegas Sands Corporation Executive Vice President of Global Retail David Sylvester said: “As the newest addition to Sands Shoppes Macao, Shoppes at Londoner demonstrates our firm commitment to Macau’s retail market and confidence in its long-term potential, and provides more opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises to expand their businesses in Macau.

“The strategic direction is to have a family mall that has a luxury shopping experience with a mix of premium lifestyle components to create yet another shopping paradise. Here, guests will be impressed by opulent British-themed interiors, a diverse line-up of global retailers including top luxury brands, international fashion brands, family fun boutiques and innovative entertainment options.”

He added: “We will continue to introduce more brands as we create an unparalleled duty-free shopping experience and help Macao become the world’s premier shopping destination.”
