SOUTH KOREA.Korean Air’s inflight duty free sales rankings by value for May saw Ballantine’s Scotch whisky, Shui Jing Fang, Chanel fragrances, SK-II, Hawaiian Sun and Swarovski (pendant ) lead their respective categories for a second consecutive month.
Chinese spirit Shui Jing Fang ranked highest in sales by value among other (i.e. not blended whiskies) liquor brands, followed by Camus and Inniskillin Icewine.
Perennial Korean favourite Ballantine’s once again led the blended Scotch whisky rankings, followed by fellow Pernod Ricard brand Royal Salute and Diageo’s Johnnie Walker.
SK-II gained top spot in cosmetics followed by Estée Lauder and Lancôme. In fragrances, Chanel headed Dior and Bvlgari.

Korean Air Senior Vice President Catering & Inflight Sales Business Division Heather Cho provided the following detailed rankings for The Moodie Report. Korean Air, the world’s most successful inflight retailer, generated US$200 million in duty free sales for 2010, up +18% over 2009.
