Singapore Changi Airport awards a range of retail and food & beverage concessions – 29/02/08

SINGAPORE. The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore has awarded a number of key concessions in retail and food & beverage in recent days.

Jewellery and watch specialist Denni International has been awarded a mid-price fashion accessories concession at Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 2. The three-year contract, which covers a 34sq m unit, begins on 16 May 2008.

Singapore-based Denni International offered either: (i) 32% of the total monthly gross sales; OR (ii) a Minimum Monthly Guarantee of S$82,000, whichever is higher of (i) or (ii). Its bid was considerably higher than any of four rival offers for the business.

Meanwhile, six companies have been awarded food & beverage kiosk units of between 15sq m and 20sq m in the Departures lounge of Terminal 2.

The winning bidders are SSP Singapore, Palms Food International, Bengawan Solo, Productivity Systems, Apex-Pal International and Secret Recipe Café.

Finally, the CAAS has issued a tender for a Western Cafe Concession at Departure/Transit Lounge South in Terminal 2. The closing date is 19 March and the three-year contract begins on 1 June.
