Singapore Changi opens F&B outlets and posts +1.5% February passenger traffic increase

SINGAPORE. Singapore Changi Airport has opened a two-in-one concept store and a favourite local restaurant.

The joint offering LeNu Chef Wai’s Noodle Bar/Canton Paradise Noodle & Congee has opened in Terminal 3. It serves Taiwanese beef noodles, soups and Cantonese fare.

In Terminal 2, Crave – The Original Adam Road Nasi Lemak by Selera Rasa offers travellers its popular Nasi Lemak, which consists of coconut rice with fried chicken and grilled fish cake, and Teh Tarik, a pulled milk tea beverage.

Asia Favourites has also opened in the same terminal. It sells food souvenirs such as pineapple cakes and durian cookies.

Changi Airport posted a +1.5% year-on-year increase in passengers in February, to 4.67 million.

It said traffic had remained ‘stable’ compared to February 2016, when travel was boosted by the Lunar New Year holidays.

Among Changi’s top 10 country markets, India posted the strongest growth (+14%) – with traffic to Bengaluru, Mumbai and New Delhi contributing to the increase. Traffic growth to both Indonesia and Vietnam was up +4%.
