Singapore Prime Minister hails Lagardère Travel Retail’s Jensen Low for career path progress

Jensen Low: Career achievement recognised at the highest level

SINGAPORE. Lagardère Travel Retail Singapore Vice President of Dining Operations and Commercial Jensen Low has been recognised by Prime Minister Lawrence Wong for his career progression and contribution to the food & beverage industry.

The accolade came during the recent Prime Minister’s National Day Rally speech, in which Wong emphasised how Low’s hands-on skills and strategic acumen propelled him to his current role.

Low’s story, he said, is an example of how vocational and technical education can provide a robust foundation for career advancement and leadership roles.

Low’s career trajectory exemplifies “the dynamic opportunities” within Singapore’s educational and professional pathways, said the company.

Beginning with a baking qualification from the Institute of Technical Education, Low joined the Marché International restaurant chain in 2007.

As a Team Leader, he led the development of a new cooking process for crêpes, adopted globally by Marché restaurants. His skill and leadership earned him a promotion to Assistant General Manager in under three years.

His career includes Director of Operations for Marché in Canada, where he drove strategic growth for international development.

Returning to Southeast Asia, Low further advanced the brand’s presence, culminating in his role as Country Manager in Marché Singapore.

Low’s transition from a focus on operational excellence in the F&B sector to driving strategic expansion reflects the multi-faceted career pathways that Prime Minister Wong champions, noted the travel retailer.

In his current role at Lagardère Travel Retail, Low oversees business development, operations, commercial, purchasing and marketing & communications functions for the Dining division. ‍
