FRANCE. Digital shopping platform SKYdeals has launched on the two new Airbus A321neo planes introduced by French airline La Compagnie.
Passengers onboard the airline’s Paris Orly route to Newark Liberty International Airport can access the platform through the high-speed 4G+ internet available onboard.
SKYdeals has said it will provide dedicated brand corners for products available at the destination, and will also offer exclusive deals.
SKYdeals CEO & Co-founder Julien Sivan said: “We are delighted to deploy the first ecommerce platform for travellers on the Paris-New York line with La Compagnie. Thanks to this partnership, we have a great opportunity to reach premium passengers, sensitive to exclusivity at the best price.
“The entire SKYdeals team would like to thank La Compagnie for their trust and support. This new deployment is part of SKYdeals’ objective to reach, within 5 years, 4% of global air traffic, which counts for more than 200 million passengers per year.”
La Compagnie Sales & Marketing Director Jean-Charles Périno added: “We are, with SKYdeals, creating the next generation of shopping in the air through exceptional events, group purchases, flash sales and many other initiatives.”
As reported, SKYdeals recently joined LVMH Group’s La Maison de Startups programme.
LVMH created the accelerator programme in 2018. It is based at the Station F campus in Paris, which welcomes 50 international start-ups each year. The initiative drives co-creation by LVMH and start-ups to bring new services and innovative products to market.
