Smashbox Cosmetics creates multi-tasking Hyperlash mascara

Smashbox’s four-in-one Hyperlash mascara

US. Smashbox has extended its mascara portfolio with a new product, called Hyperlash. It will begin rolling out internationally from April, following an exclusive listing with retailer Ulta, which began in February.

The multi-tasking mascara is said to lift, lengthen, volumise and define lashes. It features a flexible dual brush-and-comb applicator, to help consumers achieve full, lifted, clump-free lashes.

The brush side should be used to build and thicken, followed by the comb side to help define and lengthen.

The formula itself contains naturally-derived peptides and antioxidant vitamin E, to help protect and repair lashes.

Hyperlash Mascara is available in black only, and is priced domestically at around US$21.

In other news, Smashbox has created a new anti-ageing bronzing product. Halo Hydrating Perfecting Bronzer is said to impart a sun-kissed glow while dramatically minimising the signs of ageing.

Inspired by the brand’s cult favourite Halo Hydrating Perfecting Powder, the bronzer is packed with goji berries and pure gold to provide antioxidant protection. The formula also contains minerals, amino acids and Smashbox’s patented hydrogel technology, for sustained release of moisture. It is oil-, talc- and paraben-free.

Clinical studies are said to show a -33% decrease in the appearance of wrinkles just 10 minutes after application. After six weeks of use, the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles is reduced by -67%.

Halo Hydrating Perfecting Bronzer is housed in a spill-proof, travel-ready mirrored compact containing a built-in “shaver”, a single twist of which releases the perfect amount of bronzer every time. It is priced domestically at US$39.
