Smashbox Cosmetics has launched two new make-up items, Photo Filter Powder Foundation and Brow Tech Collection, both are available now in travel retail locations in Europe, Africa and the Americas.
Photo Filter Foundation is a powder foundation infused with light filter technology, said to provide the same effect as an Instagram filter. The transparent filters refract light in various directions, blurring imperfections while still keeping the subject in focus, the brand claims.

The foundation claims to glide “ultra-smoothly” onto skin and provide long-lasting wear, while photoset polymers are said to prevent the wearer’s natural oils from blending with the formula for a non-drying, non-streaking finish.
The specially designed double-sided sponge includes a velvety side for a natural, lighter coverage and a smooth side that delivers a demi-matte, fuller coverage.
Smashbox Founder and Celebrity Photographer Davis Factor said: “So many music videos, scenes and commercials are shot at Smashbox Studios. We started noticing that there were certain cameras being used that made everyone look amazing on film. These cameras actually reduced the need for retouching. And from this camera technology, we created light filter technology and infused it into this product.”

The Brow Tech Collection is said to help to achieve the “ultimate LA brow”, by defining, lifting and adding dimension to brows.
The ultra-fine point of the Matte Pencil adds volume and extends the brow, while the Highlighter Stick provides a sun-kissed look and the Gloss Stick adds a youthful sheen, according to the brand.
Factor said: “I always look at eyebrows first because they can make or break your look. With the right brows you look younger and need less make-up because they completely change the look of your face.”
