Smashbox lightens up with Spectrum – 19/06/06

US. Smashbox Cosmetics has unveiled its Fall 2006 colour collection. Described as “colour with built-in wattage”, the line features eye-catching shades designed to mimic the expert use of lighting on a professional photo shoot.

Consequently, the products have a luminosity theme and light-reflecting qualities. Key products include Jet Set Waterproof Eye Liner (US$22), Eye Shadow Quads (US$30) and Lip Gloss (US$18).

The eye liners are said to be water- and smudge-proof gel formulations that set quickly and do not crease. Colours include Midnight Black (dark black), Ignite (purple) and Illume (green).

The two multi-tonal eye shadow quads each contain four shades, suitable for creating a variety of day or night looks. There are two palettes: Electric (teal tones) and Ambient (neutral shades).

The lip glosses are sheer, shimmering formulas in new, over-sized tubes. They include a brush applicator. The shades available are Radiant (mauve), Luminous (peach) and Brilliant (Bronze).
