US. Smashbox Cosmetics has added to its innovative O-Glow blusher line with a new product called O-Gloss. Like its predecessor, the gloss features intuitive, colour-customising technology that is said to react to the wearer’s own personal chemistry to create an individual pink hue.
In addition, the O-Gloss formula incorporates “natural skin energizing” ingredients including Smashbox’s microcirculating Goji Berry-C Complex, gingko biloba, marine plankton, pomegranate seed and avocado oils, to help promote long-lasting colour and shine.
O-Gloss retails domestically at US$22 for a 10ml tube.
New for next spring is Green Room, described by Smashbox as a collection of eco-chic cosmetics. The name was jointly inspired by the hot trend for natural products, and the place where Smashbox make-up artists prep clients for television appearances.
Nearly all of the environmentally-friendly formulas in the Green Room collection are loaded with Moringa Seed Extract, said to provide antioxidant protection with each application.
The Moringa Tree is also known as the Miracle Tree: the Moringa contains seven times the vitamin C of oranges and four times the vitamin A of carrots, according to Smashbox.
Moreover, Smashbox Cosmetics will plant a Moringa tree in a developing country for each Green Room product purchased, in partnership with Trees for the Future. More Moringa trees means less soil erosion and cleaner air and water, for a greener future all round.
Lastly, all Green Room packaging is biodegradable or recyclable.
The collection includes:
Green Room Bronzer with Moringa Seed Extract said to give skin a luminous bronze glow. It is available in two shades: Golden Glow and Deep Bronze.
Green Room Eye Shadow Quad with Moringa Seed Extract – available in two colourways, Bamboo and Blossom, these each contain four shadows to shape and shade the eyes.
Hybrid 2 in 1 Color & Shine Lip Gloss with Moringa Seed Extract – this is a two-in-one gloss with luminous colour on the inside and long-lasting shine on the outside. It is available in three shades: Azalea, Marigold and Pink Lily.
Hybrid 2 in 1 Luminizing Primer – this combines Smashbox’s best-selling Photo Finish Foundation Primer and Artificial Light luminizing lotion. It can be worn alone for a natural glow or under foundation for a soft radiant finish.
