Socatec launches BagTag Design items from new airline partners

Socatec last week returned to the TFWA Asia Pacific exhibition for the second year with new branded items from its BagTag Design range of aeronautical-themed souvenirs, developed in partnership with Cathay Pacific, Aeroflot and Royal Air Maroc.

The three airlines are the newest partners of the aviation toys and promotional gifts company, whose portfolio also includes Air France, Emirates, Lufthansa, Qatar Airways and Thai Airways.

For Cathay Pacific, BagTag Design has developed a branded luggage tag, exclusively available on board the airline since 1 January. Evoking an exotic getaway from Male International Airport to Hong Kong (flight number CX602), the accessory displays the HKG code.

Displaying a Russian destination for the first time, BagTag Design collaborated with Inflight Sales Group (ISG) to create three branded items for Aeroflot: an iPad sleeve, an iPhone case and a passport cover. On board Aeroflot since April 2014, the new collection features the airport code for Moscow Sheremetyevo International – SVO.

Socatec showcased several new BagTag Design items at the TFWA Asia Pacific exhibition, developed in collaboration with new airline partners Cathay Pacific, Aeroflot and Royal Air Maroc; visitors to Singapore also got to view a collection inspired by Changi Airport

Launching in July 2014 is a key ring and set of magnets celebrating Royal Air Maroc’s airport base: CMN, Mohammed V International Airport. Evoking a route to Casablanca, the exclusively designed pictograms were inspired by the Royal Air Maroc’s uniform and Morocco. The bestselling “˜Remove before Flight’ key ring will also be available on board, with its iconic red colour and Royal Air Maroc branding.

Speaking to The Moodie Report in Singapore, Socatec Sales & Marketing Executive Amélie Keromnes said the brand is doing booming business in Asia and the Middle East. In addition, it is not just seeing success with airlines but also with airports.

One example is the SIN-branded collection representing Singapore Changi Airport, developed in collaboration with LS travel retail Asia Pacific. The range of mugs, luggage tags, notebooks and passport covers is available in the travel retailer’s Relay and Discover stores at Changi.

The brand recently also developed new magnets, bag tags and luggage straps for Brussels Airport (BRU).
