CANADA. Vincor International, north America’s fourth largest producer of wines by volume has entered into an agreement to acquire the privately-owned Amberley Estate of Margaret River, Australia.

In a statement Vincor said it will pay A$24.8 million (US$19.7 million) for the shares, which have an enterprise value of A$36.2 million.

Vincor president and CEO Donald Triggs commented: “Amberley and Goundrey complement each other perfectly. By completing this acquisition, Vincor will enhance its production and portfolio of fine Western Australian wine brands and greatly increase its sales and distribution capability in the important Oceania region.”
