In the spring, the Nashi pear tree bears white blossoms which are the starting point for the latest addition to the Jo Malone fragrance collection.
Created by Master Perfumer Fabrice Pellegrin, the heart of the fragrance combines the sweetness of pear with the crispness of apple. It is rounded out by top notes of lemon and a base of voluptuous rose and white musk.
Jo Malone Fragrance Director Celine Roux explained: “I was always interested in the Nashi pear and a few years ago I came across the blossom. Straight away I was drawn to its striking appearance. The flowers are pure white with black stamen creating an amazing polka dot effect. What could be more Jo Malone London than that? When it comes to the scent, the floralcy of the Nashi blossom is radiant with the sweetness of pear adding a truly joyful character to the scent.”
The brand offers interesting suggestions of how to pair Nashi Blossom with other fragrances from the Jo Malone London range to create different effects. It suggests layering it with Nectarine Blossom & Honey for a fruity floral fragrance or with Dark Amber & Ginger Lily for a woody floral fragrance.
