SINGAPORE. Sprint-Cass, the Singapore-based computer accessories retailer and distributor, has captured a key consumer electronics concession at Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 1.
The company, which has a long track record at Changi Airport, beat competition from Dufry Singapore and Seager Inc to win the contract. The concession begins on 15 November and runs until 10 February 2011.
The tender was called for a Photographic Equipment/Lifestyle Electronics/Computer or a speciality/brand name shop concession.
Sprint-Cass split its bid to take into account the major upgrade now on in T1.
From 15 November 2008 to 10 June 2009 (for the sale of Lifestyle Electronics and Computer Products only) it offered either 9% of the total monthly gross sales for total monthly gross sales up to S$1,000,000; 10.5% of the total monthly gross sales for total monthly gross sales above S$1,000,000 and up to S$1,690,000; 12% of the total monthly gross sales for total monthly gross sales above S$1,690,000; OR a minimum monthly guarantee of S$76,590, whichever is higher.
From 11 June 2009 to 10 February 2011 (or upon the handover of the premises to CAAS for the upgrading project, whichever is later (for the sale of Photographic Equipment, Lifestyle Electronics and Computer Products) it offered either: 10.5% of the total monthly gross sales for total monthly gross sales up to S$1,690,000; 12% of the total monthly gross sales for total monthly gross sales above S$1,690,000; OR a minimum monthly guarantee of S$126,590, whichever is higher.
