SWEDEN. SSP has teamed up with The Famous Grouse whisky distributor Edrington Sweden to open The Famous Bar in Stockholm Arlanda Airport Terminal 5.
SSP said the purpose of the bar is to recreate a living and ever-changing environment for the traveller that is filled with activities. The bar’s product range is exclusive to the Swedish market.
“The interest and expertise in whisky, which is already very big in Sweden, is continuing to increase among both men and women,” said Edrington Sweden Managing Director Aristotelis Baroutsis. “For the twelfth consecutive year, The Famous Grouse is the best-selling whisky in Sweden and we are very proud and happy that we now, with The Famous Bar, will be able to offer travellers a place where they can enjoy their favourite whisky and be a part of and interact in a whole new interactive bar environment.”
The Famous Bar was designed and developed by United Media Group. The goal was to create a genuine bar environment that reflects the process of developing The Famous Grouse.
SSP Sweden Managing Director Lars Edengréen added: “Together with the strong and well-known brand, The Famous Grouse, we can offer a first class bar that is well suited in an international and modern airport. Our ambition is to be the most positive part of the traveller’s experience and offer food & beverage experiences that are so attractive that the traveller chooses to arrive earlier at Stockholm Arlanda Airport.”
