Heflin will ensure consistent brand implementation across the region |
NORTH AMERICA. Food & beverage operator SSP has appointed Paul Heflin as Vice President of Design and Construction for North America.
Heflin will be responsible for the design and construction of all proprietary, national and local brand restaurants. He will also ensure consistent brand standards, oversee design and construction budgets and lead capital projects and planning related to new business development programmes.
Heflin is an architect of 30 years’ experience and a career of management with firms including Leo A Daly, Ewing Cole and The Hillier Group. Most recently he was Senior Vice President and Managing Principal at HDR Architecture in Washington DC.
The appointment is one of several key appointments in the second half of the year at SSP America. In July Michael Svagdis joined as CEO from Compass Group, and earlier this month Pat Banducci became COO.
Svagdis said: “Paul’s extensive leadership experience in high-performance, sustainable design brings the innovation needed for our rapid expansion throughout North America. His vision will help to support our airport partnerships by ensuring the aviation industry’s best practices are engaged on every project utilising the most current, environmentally responsible standards.”
