SSP launches ‘special offers’ website for Copenhagen Airport eateries

DENMARK. Travel restaurateur SSP has launched www.eatandfly.net, a website dedicated to providing special offers for a range of food & beverage outlets at Copenhagen Airport.

Passengers visit the website, download vouchers to their smartphones and present them to restaurant staff to redeem the offers.

SSP Denmark CEO Henrik Andersen said: “The basic idea behind Eat&Fly is to make it easy to eat on the go. The new web guide facilitates current offers and upgrades at our restaurants, cafés and coffee bars at Copenhagen Airport and helps passengers get an overview when planning a meal before take-off if they are short of time.

“The site can be used to check menus and book tables for selected eateries by passengers who wish to use their wait at the airport for a business meeting or a romantic dinner.”

So far, participating eateries include Caffè Ritazza, O’Learys, Café København, Prego, Yam Yam, the newly opened steak house MASH and the deli FoodMarket.

Eat&Fly complements the Copenhagen Airport CPH Advantage loyalty programme, which was launched in November 2011 as part of a long-term strategy designed to enhance the quality of the travel experience and improve passengers’ perception of value for money at the airport. Special members’ offers and membership benefits such as free wi-fi have encouraged 100,000 people to join the CPH Loyalty programme so far.

Copenhagen Airports Vice President Sales & Marketing Carsten Nørland said: “Our ambition for the shopping centre is to cater for any taste and budget – we want to offer extraordinary shopping and value for money across all price ranges. CPH Advantage is an important means of achieving that goal, and I am convinced that the Eat&Fly offers developed especially for Advantage members will contribute to creating even more good travel experiences at Copenhagen Airport.”

The new website is designed to enhance the passenger experience by making eating on the go easier and cheaper
