SSP opens Sweden’s first Bacardi bar at Stockholm Arlanda Airport

SWEDEN. SSP and Bacardi have teamed up to open Sweden’s first Bacardi bar at Stockholm Arlanda Airport Terminal 5.

The new airside bar – Casa Bacardi – serves classic drinks in an environment reminiscent of 1950s Cuba.

“We are incredibly excited to open our own bar at the airport,” said Bacardi Sweden Senior Brand Manager Petra Caspolin. “We have created an old-fashioned and genuine rum bar to suit all types of travellers. Warm, bright colours, and the fragrance of mint will create an exotic sense of the Caribbean.”

Bacardi rum is the feature spirit of many drinks, including the classic Mojito, Cuba Libre and the Daiquiri. The food menu includes snacks such as tapas, salads and sandwiches.

“In our ongoing efforts to offer the airport’s travellers new and exciting food and beverage experiences, we are pleased and proud to open the airport’s first authentic rum bar,” added SSP Sweden CEO Lars Edengréen.

Arlanda Schiphol Development Company Managing Director Roel Huinink commented: “For many, the excitement of travelling begins at the airport. With the arrival of the world renowned brand Bacardi in Terminal 5, our visitors will now be able to access an even wider range of opportunities to enjoy themselves and have even more reasons to come earlier to the airport.”
