SWEDEN. SSP Sweden will open the first Starbucks coffee shop in the capital city of Stockholm, with a branch to arrive at Stockholm Central Station in December.
The store will be located in the centre of the station which, together with the City Terminal, is said to be the largest travel centre in the Nordics, serving nearly 300,000 visitors each day.
SSP Sweden previously opened a Starbucks branch at Arlanda Airport in 2010 and the new station location will be the brand’s sixth in the country.

“Starbucks is a name that is instantly recognised across the globe, and we’re very proud to have it as part of our brand portfolio,” said SSP Sweden Managing Director Lars Edengréen.
“The brand is now hugely popular here in Sweden, and we’re delighted that even more coffee drinkers will be able to enjoy the Starbucks experience.”
Starbucks Director of Licensed Stores EMEA Arjan Oudejans said: “In SSP we have found a partner who shares the same values and ambitions, and as Stockholm Central Station is the largest travel centre in the Nordics that sees many international and national transit travellers, we are eager to grow our business in the travel channels with valued partners and meet the high and diverse expectations of today’s traveller.”
