SINGAPORE. Starbucks Coffee has captured the latest brand-name café concession at Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 1, following a tender, the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore announced today.
Starbucks was one of two bidders for the unit, which lies in Departure/Transit Lounge East. The other was Bina Investment, which bid on behalf of the Gelare Café brand name.
Starbucks offered 20% of the total monthly gross sales OR a Minimum Monthly Guarantee of S$13,000, whichever is higher.
The contract begins on 11 January 2009 and runs for three years.
