Stellar Partners adds Fiorello Market and iPorte to LaGuardia Airport’s new Delta Terminal

USA. Airport retailer Stellar Partners has introduced the store concepts Fiorello Market and iPorte to the new US$3.9 billion Delta Terminal (Terminal C) at LaGuardia International Airport. They target the gifts/convenience and technology segments respectively. The new additions expand Stellar’s operation at the gateway to a total of six stores.

Fiorello Market is a convenience retail offers “that feels like New York” according to Stellar. The market was developed exclusively for LaGuardia and named after Fiorello Henry La Guardia, the 99th Mayor of New York City.

The store features national and regional items suited to both gifting or as a personal keepsake. The market also has to-go dining such as deluxe pre-packaged sandwiches, salads, and snacks.

Meanwhile iPorte was developed exclusively for the travel retail tech segment using a logo with headphone and aeroplane elements to communicates this. The store sells high-end portable consumer electronics categorised as ‘good’, ‘better’ and ‘best’ in terms of their price points.

For popular audio-based devices, iPorte is equipped with listening stations to allow customers to test products and experience the quality and sound before making a purchase.

A new home for Delta

Delta Air Line’s new terminal was officially opened today by Delta CEO Ed Bastian and New York Governor Andrew Cuomo at a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Seven new gates will begin operating shortly at the terminal which will feature 37 flexible-gauge gates across four concourses when finished.

The terminal will offer wider concourses, larger gate areas for passengers and 30% more concessions space than the existing Terminals C and D. It will also house a new Delta Sky Club with a Sky Deck that offers airfield views, wellness products and services, locallyinspired menu items and artwork from emerging New York artists.

Florida-based Stellar Partners was founded in 1965 and operates more than 100 stores across nearly 20 major US airports.
