INTERNATIONAL. Here’s your second chance of 2025 to win a great prize in our Strange Predictions* contest hosted by Strange Nature Gin of New Zealand.
The Six Nations Rugby Championship in continental Europe, the UK and Ireland has got off to a pulsating start with France having been upset by England in a dramatic last-minute finish and the Irish putting their opponents to the sword in an unbeaten start to the Championship.
We are calling on travel retail and aviation sector rugby pundits to make their predictions for this weekend’s matches, Wales v Ireland, England v Scotland and Italy v France.

Here are the prediction challenges:
- Pick the winner of each match (or a draw)
- Pick the scoreline
- Tell us which region of New Zealand Strange Nature comes from.
As with all our Strange Predictions competitions, the winner will receive a bottle of the outstanding Strange Nature Gin, whose spirit base is drawn from Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Strange indeed.
As reported, Strange Nature was recently named one of the ten 2024 Gins of the Year at the prestigious International Wine & Spirit Competition.
Rules:
- Only entries from bona-fide members of the travel retail and aviation community will be accepted.
- The winner will be judged first on predicting the victor in each match after which those qualifying will be assessed on cumulative points differential for each game. So if, say, Ireland beat Wales 49-10 and you predicted 30-18 you would have a points differential of 27. The lower the total differential across all three teams the better.
- Judge’s decision is final.
Send your estimate to: Martin@MoodieDavittReport.com headed ‘Strange Predictions – Six Nations Rugby’ by noon UK and Ireland time on 22 February.
Strange PredictionsStrange Nature, the quirky super-premium New Zealand gin, has gained impressive traction in travel retail and selected local markets since its launch in October 2021, is partnering with The Moodie Davitt Report in a pioneering readers’ competition called Strange Predictions. The year-round programme will feature a series of predictive contests designed to test readers’ punditry skills across a myriad of events, ranging from sporting contests to political elections and other intriguing – and sometimes strange – events. Strange Nature General Manager – Owner Rhys Julian said: “At Strange Nature we like to embrace the strange. We consider our gin to be stranger than most, considering its grape origins, one botanical as well as sustainability and traceability credentials. “Therefore, in fitting with the brand we thought partnering with The Moodie Davitt Report’s Strange Predictions was a perfect fit. A fun competition for everyone, slightly left of centre, is very much our vibe.” |
