SINGAPORE. Here’s a chance for retail visitors to TFWA Asia Pacific in Singapore (11-15 May) to win a fabulous prize in what surely ranks as the strangest of all our popular Strange Predictions* contest hosted by Strange Nature Gin of New Zealand.

Strange Nature is again exhibiting at the show (on the CoLab stand Basement 2N-1), where General Manager Rhys Julian will be on hand to meet existing and potential clients.

All those who visit Rhys will be asked to make a very Strange Prediction indeed for the chance to win a bottle of the superb new limited-edition, travel retail-exclusive (TREX) Strange Nature Pinot Noir Gin.

As the name suggests, the new super-premium gin is distilled using the alcohol from Pinot Noir grapes, sourced from NZ’s famed Southern Valleys

Strange Nature Pinot Noir Gin commands a US$90 RRP and is already available in leading New Zealand and Australian airports. It will make its debut with Lotte Duty Free at Changi Airport, Singapore on 25 June.

Rhys is not only bringing some great New Zealand gin with him to TFWA Asia Pacific. In front of him at his meetings will be another gourmet delight from Kiwiland, Whittaker’s Assorted Mini Slabs, produced by the famed New Zealand chocolate maker Whittaker’s.

Visitors will be asked to guess how many of these taste-tempting munchies are in a giant jar. Closest estimate wins a bottle of Strange Nature Pinot Noir Gin at the end of the show.

As reported, Strange Nature was recently named one of the ten 2024 Gins of the Year at the prestigious International Wine & Spirit Competition.

Strange Predictions

Strange Nature, the quirky super-premium New Zealand gin from Marlborough, which has gained impressive traction in travel retail and selected local markets since its launch in October 2021, is partnering with The Moodie Davitt Report in a pioneering readers’ competition called Strange Predictions.

The year-round programme features a series of predictive contests designed to test readers’ punditry skills across a myriad of events, ranging from sporting contests to political elections and other intriguing – and sometimes strange – events.

Strange Nature General Manager – Owner Rhys Julian said: “At Strange Nature we like to embrace the strange.  We consider our gin to be stranger than most, considering its grape origins, one botanical as well as sustainability and traceability credentials.

“Therefore, in fitting with the brand we thought partnering with The Moodie Davitt Report’s Strange Predictions was a perfect fit. A fun competition for everyone, slightly left of centre, is very much our vibe.”
