AUSTRALIA. Sydney Airport has welcomed the introduction of stores by surf brand Rip Curl in the Domestic Terminal (T2) and International Terminal (T1).
The concept aims to provide a snapshot of Australian surf culture and an engaging shopping experience for visitors and passengers alike.
The T1 flagship store has a range of interactive features providing a glimpse into the Rip Curl world through an audio-visual experience for customers. There will be iPads for travellers to check out the surf, weather and attractions at their destination.

Both stores will stock the full range of “˜Mirage’ ultra-flex boardshorts, “˜My Bikini’ swimwear, surf and fashion watches, eyewear, luggage and other surf-related products. Travellers will be served by a trained customer service team “that lives and breathes surfing”, the airport said.
Rip Curl Retail General Manager Natalie McLean said: “We look forward to providing a complete retail experience to passengers at Sydney Airport. With the full range of Rip Curl products available, we’re confident the stores will prove a success in the Australian market.”
Sydney Airport General Manager Retail Andrew Gardiner said: “Before travellers set off to explore the planet, they can take some time to visit the stores and discover the world of one of Australia’s best-known brands.”
