THAILAND. A world record freefall attempt will be held at Suvarnabhumi next month to celebrate the inauguration of Bangkok’s new airport and the King of Thailand’s Diamond Jubilee.
On 11 February a group of 960 parachutists will try to set a new Guinness Book World Record with the largest mass freefall jump. The huge formation will depict the colours of the Thai flag.
Earlier this month, to celebrate National Children’s Day on 14 January, Thailand’s Transport Ministry opened Suvarnabhumi for a study visit by children so that they could take photographs of the new facility.
