Swarovski invites customers to get fit with Activity Tracking range

Swarovski is poised to launch its new Activity Tracking Jewelry Collection into the travel retail industry following a “successful” initial introduction to the USA, China and Hong Kong domestic markets.

Designed in partnership with wearable smart product manufacturer Misfit, the Activity Tracking range was revealed to the industry at last year’s TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes. The collection is Swarovski’s first smart range to offer pioneering technology in its iconic crystal.

Described as a “unique pairing of glamour and femininity”, the wearable technology is said to be water resistant up to 50 metres.

Dress up or down: wearers can choose between a sport band or more glamorous crystal bracelet

The Activity Crystal is embedded with expert tracking technology to log physical activity during the day and night and to save fitness goals. To review activity, the crystal synchronises wirelessly with the wearer’s smartphone, allowing them to set goals, log a food diary and share progress with friends. When touched, lights indicate both the time and status of activity accomplished.

Swarovski Senior Vice President APAC Product Marketing Joan Ng commented: “With the Swarovski Activity Tracking Jewelry Collection, we bring our jewellery expertise and global reach to a category which has historically been dominated by male consumers. Versatile enough to dress up or down, the Activity Crystal gives the modern woman a fitness tracker that looks and feels like a piece of jewellery, so she never feels the need to leave home without wearing it, and at the same time it reminds her to stay active and fit.”

Featuring bracelet and sport band options, the collection “effortlessly transitions from day to night”, according to Swarovski. Available in a range of colours, the bracelet designs include Swarovski’s Slake bracelet and the Deluxe version. Both are studded with a string of crystals which, the brand says, pair easily with other Swarovski bracelets.

Available in black, blue and white, the soft touch sport band is embossed with the Swarovski Swanflower design.

The following Activity Tracking sets are offered:

Iconic Slake Set – this features an Activity Crystal in clear colour, Slake bracelet carrier in light grey, blue or pink Alcantara fabric and Swarovski crystals, and a black, white or blue silicone sport band.

Slake Deluxe – the set includes a clear Swarovski Activity Crystal, Slake bracelet carrier in light pink, black or white Alcantara fabric and Swarovski crystals, and white or black sport band.

Alcantara and Swarovski crystal carriers in nine shades are also available. Bracelets have an adjustable size double wrap.

Daniel Swarovski Vice President Travel Retail Peter Zottl revealed that the first major inflight listings for the collection will begin in March and April this year, adding that the brand hopes to see the range available in airports and cruise ships by spring/summer this year.
