RUSSIA. Swarovski has opened or revamped three key offers in Russian airports, consolidating its presence in what the company sees as a key travel retail market.
At Moscow Domededovo Airport Swarovski has renovated its boutique in association with long-time retail partner Arial. That partnership dates back to 2004 and Swarovski Regional Sales Director Travel Retail Dmitry Schipakov told The Moodie Report: “Same space, same partner, same brand but a new look. Domodedovo still holds the rank of busiest Russian airport and we are glad and proud to share such continuity [with our retail partner].”

Additionally, in February, Swarovski opened personalised space in the duty paid area and a shop-in-shop in duty free at Moscow Vnukovo Airport Terminal A, both operated by Dufry-controlled RegStaer.
The new terminal has total floor space of 250,000sq m and capacity of 18-20 million passengers annually. “First sales are very promising and we are looking forward to strong summer traffic,” said Schipakov.
