Swiss Delice styles new praline delicacies – 20/02/06

The praline specialities are 100% Swiss made using the finest raw ingredients, professional production methods and the highest standards in food safety

SWITZERLAND. Swiss Delice, the Swiss fine food label, has introduced new praline specialities to the travel retail trade. The new lines, shown at the 2005 TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes, include:

Les Pralinés: Described as an exquisite assortment of pralines Nougat, Noisettes, Amandes and Noir, Les Pralinés are “delicate chocolate creations” packaged in a high-quality, taper-topped 150g box with the signature Swiss Delice design. The new-style pralines are made to original Swiss recipes. The fine milk and dark chocolate boast fillings such as almond honey nougat (Les Pralinés Nougat), hazelnut creme with whole hazelnuts (Les Pralinés Noisettes), almond creme (Les Pralinés Amandes) and dark chocolate creme (Les Pralinés Noir). Each praline is individually wrapped to keep its flavour locked in for a long time and is an ideal gift in travel retail.

The praline assortment was presented in a sophisticated new packaging: Prestige du Chocolatier (250g and 500g), Truffes Suisses Assorties (300g) and Swiss Mountain Pralinés (130g). Swiss Mountain Pralinés is shaped like the Swiss mountains, said to be “a discreet reference to the fact that Swiss Delice only takes first-class, natural, raw ingredients and a manufacturing process that comes from original Swiss recipes for its pralines”. The Truffes Suisses Assorties fine truffle pralines are round in shape, while Prestige du Chocolatier, with its wide selection, rounds off the assortment.

Swiss Delice in travel retail

Swiss Delice is a brand of Chocolat Frey AG, Switzerland’s number one chocolate maker. Products are available in over 100 airports and more than 200 duty free shops worldwide, inflight, as well as on three of the largest Baltic Sea ferries. Swiss Delice puts its success down to the giftable nature of Swiss chocolate for travellers returning from a trip abroad, and the distinctive brand identity, which, says Chocolat Frey, is “absolutely made for a sophisticated and internationally-oriented target group”.

Among the top-selling products from Swiss Delice are four types of 400g Chocobloc – milk, dark, white and orange milk chocolate. Other best-sellers are the 400g chocolate bars as well as the 100g Suprême slender bars in six flavours: Merveille de Lait, Bouquet d’Orange, Noir Authentique, Rêve de Coco, Passion Pécan & Caramel and Harmonie Café & Cacao.
