Sydney Airport breaks new ground with opening of health parlour

Mandarin Massage adds more variety to the commercial offer at Sydney Airport Terminal 1

AUSTRALIA. Sydney Airport has opened a new health parlour in the new-look A$500 million International Terminal, in partnership with Mandarin Massage. It is said to be the first outlet of its type at an Australian airport, and offers therapeutic and relaxation treatments.

Mandarin Massage specialises in remedial massage, relaxation massage and reflexology. The range of relaxation treatments caters for people with just five minutes to spare for a neck and shoulder massage through to substantial reflexology packages or a full head to toe massage in 90 minutes.

Sydney Airport General Manager, Retail Derek Larsen noted: “Travellers will now have something else to enjoy in the departure lounge after completing Customs and security. With the world class shopping and food & beverage outlets, multi-currency ATMs and more, Mandarin Massage now adds a new dimension to the mix of products and services available at Sydney International Airport, providing travellers the ultimate way to start their journey”.

Its owners, husband and wife team Gary and Wendy Deng, have five other stores in Sydney. Wendy Deng said: “At Mandarin Massage we aim to give our customers a relaxing experience and leave them feeling refreshed and revitalised and we thought the airport would be the perfect location to give some pampering to busy and stressed travellers.”

Reflexology is one of the centre’s most popular treatments, as it increases circulation and lymphatic flow, assisting in the elimination of wastes and toxins in the body and relieving muscular overuse and chronic pain syndrome, which is particularly beneficial for those with extended flights, she added.

To celebrate its opening, from 1 December until the end of February Mandarin Massage is offering a discount of -10% off all its treatments.
