AUSTRALIA. Chinese smart electric vehicle manufacturer XPeng, together with local partner TrueEV, will open its first Australian showroom at the entry to Sydney Airport’s domestic precinct later this year.
The 3,000sq m ‘futuristic’ facility, which will be located on the corner of Sir Reginald Ansett Drive and Joyce Drive, will offer customers an immersive experience where they can test drive vehicles from XPeng’s extensive range. They can also explore XPeng’s cutting-edge technology inside the showroom.
Sydney Airport Group Executive Commercial Mark Zaouk commented: “We are excited to welcome XPeng to Sydney Airport in an Australian first and take pride in their choice of our gateway to Australia as the location for their largest sales hub and experience centre.
“With over 40 million passengers passing through Sydney Airport each year, we stand out among major airports globally for our proximity to both the nation’s commercial centre and top tourist attractions.
“The site XPeng has selected for their experience centre is right at our doorstep – the true front door to Australia – making it one of the most visible locations in Sydney, seen by more than 100,000 people daily.”
TrueEV, the exclusive Australian importer, distributor and retailer for XPeng, has today unveiled the official pricing for the XPeng G6. The G6 Standard Range will start from A$54,800 (US$38,000) and the G6 Long Range from A$59,800 (US$41,400).
Australian consumers can pre-order the vehicle with delivery expected in late October.
