INTERNATIONAL. Tax Free World Association (TFWA) has announced details of the conference and workshop programme for this year’s World Exhibition & Conference in Cannes from 2-6 October.
The conference will be opened by TFWA President Erik Juul-Mortensen. Guest speakers include economics and geopolitics expert David Williams who is Adjunct Professor of Global Economics at Trinity College Dublin’s School of Business.
He will be followed by Rituals Founder and CEO Raymond Cloosterman who will speak on brand building in a changing world. AF Ventures Operating Partner Swan Sit – a leading voice on the Clubhouse social media network and former Global Head of Digital Marketing for Nike, Revlon and Estée Lauder – will consider life in the Metaverse.
The TFWA workshops programme includes two lunchtime sessions, The Airport Forum and Innovation in Action, on 4 and 5 October respectively in the Palais des Festivals’ I5 studio.
The Airport Forum session will feature Heathrow Airport Retail Director Fraser Brown, Incheon International Airport Corporation Director Duty Free Management Team Sung Bin Im and Istanbul Airport Chief Digital & Commercial Officer Ersin Inankul.
A session titled Innovation in Action will look at the latest developments in customer engagement with speakers including Intelligent Track System Founder & CEO Morten Pankoke and Inflyter Founder & CEO Wassim Saadé.
Juul-Mortensen said: “This year’s TFWA World Conference will explore the factors that will define business in the post-pandemic world, from pressures on the global economy to changing consumer behaviour.
“Our programme of speakers features experts in their fields who will provide fresh perspectives on the challenges and opportunities ahead. We are also pleased to restore our programme of workshops, which this year will feature senior executives from some of the world’s leading airports, in addition to the innovators that are finding new ways to improve the ways we sell to travellers.
